Clara's is currently being upgraded as we welcome Michelle Theron as our newly appointed Executive Chef. As our in-house culinary lead, Michelle will guide every dining experience and wine pairing across the estate.
Cape Town-born and -bred, Michelle refined her craft at La Motte and Hazendal, with formative stints in Michelin-starred European kitchens. Widely travelled, she brings an international perspective to Cape cuisine, yet her approach remains rooted in authenticity and a deep sense of place.
Her credentials include being named among South Africa’s Top 10 Women Chefs (2021), winning My Kitchen Rules South Africa, Season 4, and recognition as a regional finalist in the San Pellegrino Young Chef Academy Competition (Africa & Middle East).
